Academic Entry Requirements

Academic entry requirements for the acceptance levels are outlined below:

Australia Year 11 with minimum average 60 per cent TER/UAI 60 or acceptable Foundation Year grades. TER/UAI 70
Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan HSC (10+1) Second Division Pass HSC (10+2) 50 per cent average Three 'Ordinary' level passes (minimum grade C) and two "Advanced" level passes (minimum of one C and one D grade) in the General Certificate of Education (GCE) or successful completion of a two-year degree at a recognised institution.
Canada Contact Curtin Singapore Year 12 or Ontario Secondary School Diploma with 55 per cent average. British Columbia Year 12. Senior Secondary Graduation Diploma (Grade 12) with C+ and English competence. 2003 onwards, Ontario Grade 12. Ontario Secondary School Diploma with a minimum average of 70 per cent in six Ontario Academic Courses (OAC) and English competence of 60 per cent.
China, Taiwan, Macau Senior Middle 2 with minimum average 60 per cent or Completion of Senior Middle 3 (Gao San) Senior Middle 3 (Gao San) with 70 per cent average One year of a bachelor degree at a recognised University OR Completion of the Chinese National University Entrance Examination for admission to key universities in China for a four year degree program (Gao Kao).
Brunei, Mauritius, Hong Kong GCE O-level or HKCEE Minimum three points from two GCE A-level or one A-level and two AS-level subjects Three 'Ordinary' level passes (minimum grade C) and two 'Advanced' level passes (minimum of one C and one D grade) in the General Certificate of Education (GCE).
India and Sub-Continent ISSC, ISC or HSC (10+1) CBSE, ISC or HSC (10+2) 50 per cent average All India Senior School Certificates awarded by the CBSE with an average of 65 per cent in four subjects OR Higher School Certificate awarded by one of the State Secondary Schools Board or Indian School Certificate with an average of 65 per cent in five subjects.
Indonesia SMUII with 7.0 average or completion of SMUIII SMUIII with 7.0 average Successful completion of one or two years of a bachelor degree at a recognised institution or SMA/SMU III with an average of 8.0 in four academic subjects from selected high schools.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Year 1 of International Baccalaureate Minimum of 21 over six IB Subjects (average 3.5 on 1-7 scale) Full International Baccalaureate with a minimum total of 24 point from six subjects at one sitting. Three of the subjects must be at the higher level, and one of the six subjects should be English.
Japan Kotogakko Year 2 with minimum average 60 per cent or Completion of Kotogakko Year 3 Kotogakko Certificate with B grade average (GPA>3.0) Successful completion of one year of a Bachelor's degree at recognised institution.
Kenya Year 11 with minimum average 60 per cent or GCE O-level with minimum 5 passes KCSE with C plain average or three points from 2 GCE A-level Successful completion of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum average grade of B or better obtained in eight subjects (including English, Kiswahili and Maths).
Korea Senior High School Diploma Senior High School Diploma with an overall grade average of 2.8 Completion of Academic Secondary School Certificate with a score of 300 (75 per cent) in the National University Entrance Examination (CSAT) or Successful completion of one or two years of a bachelor degree at a recognised university.
Malaysia SPM, Form 5 or UEC with minimum 5 passes STPM - minimum CGPA/NGMP of 4.67 from 2 relevant subjects with no grade less than C (NGMP 2.00) or 3 points from 2 GCE A-level subjects or UEC (2Bs, 2Cs) Two Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan (Malay medium) (STPM) passes (prior 2003 - minimum one C and one D grade) (2003 onwards - minimum one B and one C+ grade) and three credit passes at SPM level and English competence OR Completion of the Malaysian Independent Chinese Secondary Schools Unified Examination (UEC) in at least five subjects with two 'A' grades and two 'B' grades (excluding languages) and English competence.
New Zealand Contact Curtin Singapore NZ Bursary (minimum 200pts from best five subjects) or NZ sixth form certificate with 16 or less in four subjects An A or B bursary award in New Zealand Universities Bursaries and Scholarships Examinations with an aggregate in five subjects equivalent to the Curtin minimum TER (currently 70).
Singapore GCE O-level or Sec 4 Express with minimum 5 passes or Sec 5 with minimum 5 passes (Singapore) Minimum three points from two A-level or one A-level and two AS-level subjects Three 'Ordinary' level passes (min grade C) plus two 'Advanced' level passes (minimum of five points) in the General Certificate of Education (GCE); and grade C in 'O' level English/English Literature or with separate evidence of English competence.
Sri Lanka GCE O-level with minimum 5 passes Minimum 3 points from GCE A-level or 1 A-level and 2 AS-level units or 2 Sri Lanka A-level with minimum D grade Three 'Ordinary' level passes (minimum grades of C) and two 'Advanced' level passes (minimum of six points - excluding General Paper/English) in the Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education.
Thailand Matayom five with minimum average 60 per cent or Completion of Matayom six Matayom six (or Certificate of Secondary Education (GPA of 2.5 or better) Successful completion of one year of a bachelor degree at recognised institution.
Vietnam Year 11 with minimum 60 per cent average Year 12 (Tot Nghiep Pho Thong) with grade 6.0 average Completion of the Bang Tu Tai or Bang Tot Nghiep Pho Thing Trung Hoc with an average of at least 80 per cent in four core academic subjects OR successful completion of one year of a bachelor degree at a recognised institution.
Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania Year 11 with minimum average 60 per cent or GCE O-level with minimum 5 passes Minimum three points from A-level or one A-level and two AS-level passes
