Organising your medical test

To further strengthen the control of communicable diseases like Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection and Tuberculosis in Singapore, with effect from 1 March 2000, all international students who apply and obtain in-principle approval for the student pass have to undergo and pass a medical examination conducted by a qualified medical practitioner in Singapore or at their home countries.

The medical check up covers the following areas:

• A general physical medical examination
• A chest x-ray
• A test for HIV
