This major focuses on the key challenges facing practising managers today such as the relationship between people and an organisation, performance, change, innovation and technology. You will develop a foundation of knowledge, insights and abilities required of managers in a wide range of sectors, industries and functions, including the management skills of communication, problem solving, planning, organising, managing change and working cooperatively with others.
Human Resource Management
Human resource management is a dynamic and evolving area related to the management of people within organisations. It also involves activities related to employment relationships.
In this major you'll study the functional areas of strategy and planning, attraction and retention, learning and development, remuneration and rewards, performance management and workplace relations. You'll develop the knowledge and personal skills you need to develop techniques and programs to engage a highly committed and capable workforce to operate in the global business world.

Prerequisites
Students wishing to complete this double major are required to complete the Curtin College Diploma of Commerce at Curtin Singapore.
Upon successful completion of the diploma, students will be given direct entry into the second year of the Bachelor of Commerce (Management and Human Resource Management) at Curtin Singapore.

Minimum academic entry requirements (Singapore students)
- Two A-level subjects (minimum 3 points) OR
- One A-level subject and two AS-level subjects
(minimum 3 points)
Minimum academic entry requirements (International students)
- Indonesia: Minimum completion of SMU III, subject to individual subject performance
- Malaysia: Minimum completion of STPM or GCE AS-Level with a minimum of 2 points over 2 subjects
- China: Satisfactory completion of Senior Middle 3 (Gao San), subject to individual subject performance
- Vietnam: Successful completion of Year 12 (Tot Nghiep Pho Thong), subject to individual subject performance
Minimum English Language entry requirements
- GCE O Level: C6 (or equivalent)
- IELTS 5.5
- IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System): Writing 5.5, Speaking 5.5, Reading 5.5, Listening 5.5, Overall band score 5.5
