Professor Robert Evans PhD (Chair)
Professor Robert Evans is the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Curtin Singapore with overall responsibility for the academic integrity of the campus programs. Professor Evans joined Singapore from Curtin’s Graduate School of Business (GSB), with which he had a long association, most recently as Professor in Accounting, and prior to this as its Director. Professor Evans has extensive international experience having held visiting appointments at the University of Bristol (UK), the University of St Thomas (St Paul, US) and Rajabhat Suan Dusit University (Thailand), in addition to consulting and teaching appointments in a number of countries. He has also been active in management training in Australia, in both private sector and government organisations. Prior to joining Curtin, he held several professional accounting and management positions within the energy sector.
Professor David Wood PhD
Professor David Wood is the Deputy Vice Chancellor International of Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. He has overall responsibility for all Curtin’s international students and operations, both onshore in Australia and on the international campuses of the University. Prior to his current position, Professor Wood was Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Humanities at Curtin. He has also held positions on various government boards including the Western Australian Planning Commission and the Australian Sustainable Development Institute.
Professor John Wood PhD
Professor Wood is currently Chief Executive Officer, University Programs Division with Navitas Limited, the largest publically listed private education provider in Australia. He has overall responsibility for all university programs conducted both in Australia and internationally for the Navitas Ltd group. Navitas Ltd is an Australian global education leader providing services to more than 80,000 students across a network of over 100 colleges and campuses in 27 countries. Prior to his current position, Professor Wood held senior positions with Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. He has also held executive leadership positions including in the Office of the Prime Minister and in State Government in the Departments of Premier and Cabinet, Australia.
Professor Jill Downie PhD
Professor Jill Downie is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education of Curtin University. In her role as DVC, Education, Professor Downie is responsible for the quality assurance processes of teaching and learning across the University: Curtin Teaching and Learning which includes teaching and learning, assessment, Curtin on-line, Open Universities Australia, course quality, awards and grants, professional development, learning technologies; Student Central; Student Support Services which include Counselling, Recreation and Health Services; Ethics Equity and Social Justice; the Library; and the Centre for Aboriginal Studies.
